“ I took my mom here to eat, I ordered the lasagna and it was honestly one of the very best lasagna's I've ever had. The ladies that waited on us were so friendly and helpful, it's such a cute atmosphere tucked in the back and if you sit outside it's a pretty view of the creek. Such a thoughtful restaurant, they even have a bucket of reader glasses so people that need to borrow them can have an easy time to read the menu, my mom had forgotten hers at home so it was affordable perfect touch. The only thing that was a little disappointing is the price, it was around $50.00 for one lasagna and two sodas, they do give a few small pieces of yummy fresh bread, however a salad or veggies with the lasagna would have been nice since the lasagna portion was very small. It's worth paying more for such quality food, it just would have been nice to have a few fillers so you don't leave hungry after paying that much, however, I would still recommend everyone trying it since everyone that works there is so nice and we had a very nice time eating there. ”

“ Such a cute, sweet, hidden gem of an authentic Italian restaurant amidst downtown Placerville! The owner was the sweetest lady, sharing all her recommendations and so hard working and down to earth. The food was absolutely amazing and so was the wine! We will definitely be returning whenever we're in the area. ”

“ Yesterday, my wife and I had the opportunity to visit this restaurant. The place is located a bit off the main street, hidden behind some shops. You can find it either by spotting the sign from the road or by typing “Italian Restaurant” into Google Maps. The restaurant itself is nestled in a picturesque corner and immediately impresses with its cozy atmosphere. It’s quite small but charming. You can tell the owners tried to fit in as many tables as possible, which unfortunately led to some of them being placed in areas that, in our opinion, were not ideal. It was quite uncomfortable to squeeze through the narrow spaces just to get to our table. As for the service, we were quickly seated and served water right away. Unfortunately, that’s where the fast service ended, even though the restaurant wasn’t fully booked. This gave us time to look around and, unfortunately, we noticed that cleanliness didn’t seem to be a top priority. There was a lot of dust and cobwebs, and the glasses we were given were dirty with visible fingerprints. When the waitress asked if everything was okay, I told her about the dirty glass. She acknowledged it but never brought a replacement. We ordered a Caprese salad, two desserts, and a bottle of Menabrea beer (if I’m not mistaken about the name). The salad wasn’t anything special—I wish the basil had been fresher and there had been a bit more balsamic vinegar to enhance the flavor. Perhaps that’s just their recipe, but unfortunately, there wasn’t much of a pleasant aftertaste. As for the desserts, we enjoyed the tiramisu, but the second dessert clearly seemed like it had been sitting in the fridge for too long—it was tasteless and hard. We mentioned this to our server, and to her credit, she handled it very professionally and politely, apologized, and removed it from the bill. We have mixed feelings about this place. On one hand, it was pleasant. On the other, there’s definitely room for improvement. Why did I give it five stars? Because I truly believe they care about what they’re doing and that it matters to them. Will we return? Yes—we’ll definitely come back to try something else. ”

“ Nestled in a small alley way over a creek, food is always impeccable. Love their gbocci and pasta dishes. Wine selection features a ton of options from local wineries. ”

“ I’m writing this review on the drive home. That’s how wonderful our meal was. Delicious elevated Italian food. Not since Biba’s closed have we had such wonderful Italian food. The artichoke beignets were an amazing starter. The braised beef raviolio in a fabulous creamy tomato garlic sauce was one of the best Italian dishes I’ve ever had. We we definitely be returning. ”

“ I am always looking for a place that does gnocchi, and this place delivers! Pesto gnocchi, bread, dessert, so good. ”

“ Cute spot tucked in the back between shops. My wife and I enjoyed the food and talking with the owner. The portions were enormous when paying for the extra charge. The owner paired some nice wine with our meals. Although the outside dining over the creek is nice, it can sometimes be overpowered by the highway noise. Overall pleasant! ”
